Arriving in a new country is exciting – and we make it simple, safe, and stress-free. From the moment you land in the UK, our team supports every step, with reliable airport transfers, clear travel guidance, and round-the-clock assistance for students and families alike. Before arrival, parents receive key information on travel, immigration, and airport procedures, plus travel packs and pre-departure reminders so every student arrives prepared and welcomed.
Students are expected to arrive in Oxford on 1st August 2027 & depart on 14th August 2027.

Airport Shuttle
A supervised shared transfer between Heathrow Airport and your Oxford accommodation.
Heathrow ↔ Oxford
Travel alongside fellow scholars, with the OSP team coordinating every transfer. The shuttle runs only between Heathrow Airport and your Oxford accommodation.
Price is per scholar, each way. The shuttle runs at set times on the programme's arrival and departure days. If your flight falls outside these times, a private taxi is the best option.
Private Taxi
Door-to-door private transport for scholars and families who prefer their own vehicle.
Taxi Prices
Ideal for families, or for scholars travelling outside scheduled shuttle times. Prices are per vehicle, each way, to or from Oxford.
Prices are for a standard car seating 3–4 passengers. A 6–8 seater can be provided on request at an additional cost. Transfers from other locations can also be arranged.
Unaccompanied Minor
A designated escort and airline handover at Heathrow for scholars flying as unaccompanied minors.

This fee covers the escort only. Choose the airport shuttle or a private taxi for the journey .

How the Service Works
- Scholars must be travelling on their airline's unaccompanied minor programme, with this service available at Heathrow Airport only.
- Before travel, we confirm your child's flight details and arrange the designated OSP escort with the airline. You receive their name and contact details.
- On arrival, the escort presents valid ID, collects your child from airline staff and completes the handover before accompanying them on the journey to Oxford.
- On departure, the escort supports your child through check-in, completes the airline handover and stays with them until they have boarded.
- The service costs £150 for pickup and £150 for drop-off. This covers the escort and handover only. An airport shuttle or private taxi must also be booked for the journey itself.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a visa to attend OSP?
Yes, if you require a visa to enter the UK, you will need one to attend OSP’s Summer School in Oxford. Some nationalities require ETA, while others will need to apply for a Standard Visitor visa. Please find more information here.
For scholars who do require a visa, our team will provide a visa invitation letter along and guidance to help with the application process.
Do you provide help with visa applications?
What if my flight arrives late?
Our team monitors incoming flights and will provide guidance if your arrival is delayed. If your transfer arrangements need to change, our team will advise you on the available options. Please inform us of any changes to your flight as soon as possible.
I'm coming from outside the UK - what should I know before travelling?
International scholars joining OSP’s Summer School in Oxford receive a detailed Pre-Arrival Guide. This includes visa guidance, what to pack, local weather updates, cultural tips, airport procedures, and important contact information.
When should I arrive for OSP?
Arrival dates will be clearly outlined in your Welcome Pack. Typically, Scholars will arrive on 1st August, settle in and attend orientation activities.
Can you accommodate unaccompanied minors flying alone?
Yes. Unaccompanied minor airport assistance is available as an additional service for students travelling alone. The fee is £150 for airport pickup and £150 for airport drop-off. OSP can arrange the required pickup and drop-off procedures and provide the necessary authorisation details in advance. The authorised person may be required to present valid ID for verification.
Do I need a letter of parental consent to travel for OSP?
Yes. All students under 18 who are travelling independently to join OSP must carry a Letter of Parental Consent. This letter should be signed by a parent or legal guardian, authorising the student to travel to the UK on their own to join the programme. The document also includes OSP’s official contact information, which can be presented to immigration officers if required during border checks. A template of this letter will be provided to all registered students once their place on the programme is confirmed.
